Your region certainly has more room for extra visitors.

It would be nice if more businesses in your neck of the woods had websites, or upgraded to regular sites. That's one way I browse for local resources myself. In fact, the Emerald Forest site enabled local restaurants to gain me as a customer, via a chain of referral word of mouth. How much better if all uploaded their information with a URL. Someone should host a morning or evening talk someday for business owners there explaining how sites help represent the community as a whole.

Either way, it's a fine small town to visit. Commenting without your name, or a way for me to check your statements is a cowardly act. I don't think I'll allow anonymous postings here any more. Perpetuating degrading hearsay and rumor serves no helpful purpose and I won't be party to it between commenters on my Blog.

If the comment made is true, it was offered in an unspiritual, unhelpful way. It did not take my suggestion in this post to mind or heart. That suggestion, since you missed it, is this - let us "look a little deeper for the good in people and opportunities around us."

It's been my experience that people who have suffered through something horrible themselves, have an unique perspective on the related lessons to learn. They will help others as they help themselves through the process. They may struggle every day, but I'll leave the flippant judging of my kind-hearted neighbors to a higher power than you and I.

I'm happy to discuss your concerns further face to face. For now, try a smile, a wave. Specifically; Final TMP section 10.6 Ownership, page 67: Government Code Section 37351 - 4/5ths Council vote. While I think we need an unanimous Council vote - the right solution will have that - Paul, our attorney, clarified that because of the beach boundary conditions precedent, we will only need a simple majority Council vote.

Here's the rub: Dean knew that's why the condition was added to the current draft. I asked Steve, he misunderstood as I had, and none of the other Council members understood either. We are moving too fast, and some of the people we represent still know more than we do about this. We'll get there. The statements of some Councilmembers that the general public cannot grasp this stuff, when we are having difficulty ourselves, clearly points to more work needed.

It's up to our staff to really boil this down some more, keep watching out for the City's interests, and continue to help us understand and convey this to the rest of our fellow residents. We are lucky to have them to do it.MikeMorgan, FormerCouncilmemberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03236926360281987961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8571438572621398174.post-11580170161149046872009-02-20T16:01:00.000-08:002009-02-20T16:01:00.000-08:00Congrats on the new job Mike./Oskar in SWECongrats on the new job Mike.

/Oskar in SWEAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8571438572621398174.post-78969966615861147052009-01-29T11:51:00.000-08:002009-01-29T11:51:00.000-08:00From Rose Email:Just remember this: Good Governmen...From Rose Email:

Just remember this: Good Government is Boring.

When things are running smoothly, people pay attention to other things.
